Since 2010 I've worked as a youth minister in the Archdiocese of San Antonio. During that time I also studied philosophy at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After years of learning I like to think that I'm pretty good at this catechetics stuff, and now I'm taking the lessons I've learned to as many parishes and youth programs as I can. My goal is not only to speak and teach on the Catholic faith, but to train others to do the same.
The thing that sets me apart from other Catholic speakers is that I want to teach you how to do everything I can do. When I come to your parish you keep all of my materials and content. I promise to do all that I can to equip your team with the tools needed to establish and sustain a strong, effective, orthodox program for the good of the Church.
I can present talks on any topic regarding the Catholic faith and/or philosophy. Over the course of the past few years I've taught it all. My specialties include Catholic philosophy, introductory theology of the body, and pro life issues. This is the sort of thing you can use to fill up a session on a retreat or supplement a religious education class and/or youth group that meets regularly. My talks comprise about an hour including discussion and Q&A. We can tailor time and content to your needs. Feel free to send me an email and we can discuss what is best for your event.
I've done something like a thousand retreats including ACTS retreats, Life Teen retreats, and retreats I've developed on my own. If you have a retreat coming up and need a speaker for your sessions, I can do that. If you have a retreat coming up and have no clue what to do, I can do that as well. I can be as involved or removed from the planning and implementation process as you would like me to be. The band Default can also provide music for your retreats or events. To discuss your retreat needs, feel free to send me an email.
Team Training and consulting
Maybe you're starting a new youth ministry program in your parish. Maybe you're taking on a task like a retreat for the first time and need some guidance. Maybe you have a particular issue or topic you would like your youth ministry team to learn about. In all of these cases, I'm your man. I am very excited about the opportunity to get in a room with your team and share what I've learned from my time working in a parish.
